Cable fault indicator can be installed in the ring main unit, switchgear, cable branch box, etc. in the distribution network system. In simple words, the fault indicator should be installed in every branch of the power grid. The Three-phase short-circuit fault probes are respectively installed on the ABC three-phase cable, the earth fault indicator is installed on the the trunk line before the three-phase branch and outside the cable insulated ring during which the earth fault indicator needs to be tied with the armor wire. The CT could be installed on default two phases among ABC three phases. The panel indicator is embedded in the ring main unit or on the top of the cabinet. The data communication terminal can be placed in a room if there is still enough space, and the box type substation, or placed separately outside. The system diagram is as followed:
 
 
 
1. Instructions of Short-Circuit Sensor Installation
The short-circuit sensor is mounted on the single-phase branch of the cable, and the screws on the hoop should be loosened during installation. Clip the transformer is directly to the cable and then tighten the screws. Fasten the screws to prevent sliding and furthermore to fall off. The sensor could be mounted with power on, there will be no wrong indication during loading and unloading process .
 
2. Instructions of Earth fault Sensor Installation 
During the installation of the Earth fault sensor the three wires of the cable should be wrapped up , loosen the screws on the hoop,clip the transformer directly to the cable, and then tighten the screws and fix it to prevent sliding and furthermore to fall off. The sensor could be mounted with power on, there will be no wrong indication during loading and unloading process .
 
3. Instructions of Panel Indicator( Display Unit) Installation
Panel indicator is usually embedded in the ring main unit, switchgear operating panel, for the local display of fault information on the line and battery undervoltage warning and other information. It adopts optical fiber or wireless etc. communication, one and two reliable insulation.
 
4. Instructions of Data Communication Terminal installation
It is wall-mounted and the housing is grounded.
